iWeb footers – What do you do with yours?

During the writing of this web-site I look at hundreds of iWeb sites. One thing that seems to be common practice amoungst quite a few of them is a lack of use of the footer area of the site.

I admit it is nice to declare proudly that the web-site you have slaved over was ‘made on a Mac’ but you can do (and should do) so much more with this under used area of iWeb ‘real estate’. Read more

Header tags in iWeb – Take 2

As they say in French, ‘j’ai fait une gaffe!’ when I posted a tutorial on adding the header tags (h1, h2, h3 etc…) to iWeb via an HTML Snippet. Having not checked my iWeb site’s code properly I did not see that in fact iWeb didn’t insert the code into the page where I wanted it, but created a completely different page and linked back to it from the main-page.

This made me more determined to find a simple method of getting header tags into iWeb. Read more

Okay, I hold my hands up. I made a boob. Recently I published a post on All About iWeb that explained how it was possible to add, with the help of an HTML Snippet, header tags to your iWeb site. Well, you can’t.

Does your iWeb site have a privacy policy?

It’s an honest question. Judging by the amount of people who have read my iWeb tutorial post on adding a contact form to an iWeb site many of you want some way for your site visitors to be able to contact you.

If you are asking your visitors to complete a form that collects information (ie name, e-mail address or site URL) thaen perhaps it would be wise to let them know what you are going to do with this information. Read more
